Editor’s Pick: Spring to Summer
Hi guys, it’s co-editor in chief, Halle here for my first editor’s pick!! I know Minnesota springs can be very unpredictable. With summer on the horizon, it’s a hard time to find clothes to match sleet and 30 degrees one day and sunny and 60 degrees the next. That’s why I have decided to give you guys my picks of items that you can wear now and next month. I found a range of clothes, accessories, and beauty products for you guys to look through and enjoy!
Miaou Sunrise Mesh Long Sleeve
The Line by K Skirt Set
$148
This set is the perfect casual go-to spring and summer look. Add a leather jacket and you’re ready for dinner on a spring night. Add a knit cardigan and you’re ready for a slouchy summer rainy day. Or wear by itself and you have a perfect summer errand fit. This set is so versatile you really can’t go wrong. It comes in a handful of colors as well so you can find the color that best matches your preferred color pallet
Farm Rio Leafy Slides
W3LL PEOPLE Muti-Use Blush Stick
W3LL PEOPLE Multi-Use Blush Stick
$22
Blush is the one makeup item I cannot live without. I use it almost every day, and then I found this blush stick which you can use on your cheeks, lips, eyes, etc. This is a fantastic summer product as it makes for an easy & quick makeup look. Comes in darker and lighter shades, personally I love the shade Rose for a poppy summer look and the shade Blood Orange to get that lightly-sunburnt look.
Free People Crochet Shirt
Free People Until Sundown Shirt
$98
Crochet has been everywhere this spring. From Kendall Jenner wearing a crochet vest on the streets of LA to Sydney Sweeney in a crochet swimsuit, crochet is everywhere. I love this trend because (using this phrase again) it is a great elevated basic. Instead of a white button up, throw on this crochet button up to make your look more unique. It is such an easy piece to layer which makes it a great spring to summer transition fabric.
Gimaguas Market Bag
$45
The past year, I have become a tote fanatic. I no longer use any kind of bag. They are so practical and cute that you really can’t go wrong. As spring is winding down, use this tote as the cutest backpack for the last couple weeks of school. In the summer, pack all of your summer essentials and head to the beach. This tote by Gimaguas has the cutest striped prints that are sure to gain compliments.
Babaton Slip Midi Skirt
$98
Another thing I have been loving right now is a good skirt. The longer the better. And this silky midi skirt from Aritzia is the perfect go-to. They have a wide variety of colors but for the spring & summer, I am loving this baby yellow. You can dress it up or down by following their effortless T-Shirt look or pairing it with a cute lacy top. The possibilities are effortless. (for sizing, I am normally a size 4 but I like to wear my skirts low waisted so I bought a size 8.)
Paloma Wool Dragonfruit Tank Top
Glossier Futuredew Serum
$24
Glazed-Donut skin is all of our desires. Especially for the spring and summer, having that effortless, dewy skin is a dream in the sun. This serum by Glossier has been a favorite of mine for years. After my normal skincare routine in the morning, I use two pumps all over my face and immediately have glowing skin. I also use this product when doing a going out makeup look. I use it as a replacement for highlighter as I will rub the serum into the high points of my face. However you want to use it, this serum will have your skin glowing all day and night.
ARE YOU AM I Embroidered Tank Top
$120
Last on my list is this beautiful tank by Are You Am I. The embroidery and sparkles make this the cutest going out tank. It can also be paired with a skirt, like the one listed above. There isn’t much you wouldn’t be able to wear with this. And for my girlies who air on the more conservative side, Zara has some cute bralettes that can be worn underneath.
